For a little background, I’m a 58 year old white male. In August of 2005 I weighed 285 pounds. I started a weight-loss program but I was so tired and fatigued all of the time that I had no energy to exercise. Eventually I went to my doctor and in late September he doctor diagnosed me as pre-diabetic with a blood glucose level of 225.
Dr. Dean put me on Metformin, which I am still taking. In November I bought a glucose meter and began to monitor my blood glucose, keeping an eye on how what I ate affected my sugar levels. I started this with Dr. Dean’s advice to test before every meal and 2 hours after every meal for one week. Then I began testing three times a day, once before I ate in the morning, once in the middle of the day, and once again just before I went to bed.
My sugar range during this time was any where from a high of 260 to a rare low of 134. The average was about 190. I began taking MetaPhase on 11/20/05 and continued with the three tests a day for two weeks. Then I began testing twice a day, once before I ate anything for the day and once just before I went to bed. Interestingly, once I started using MetaPhase my weight dropped down to 255 pounds.
Thank for letting me use Metaphase!
